Millenary Olive Trees from Xert (Castellón)

This is a beautiful tour to discover the millenary culture of the olive trees from Xert. We will visit the Cooperative ‘Clot d’En Simó where we will learn how this special olive oil is made and what are its most particular uses. We will have the chance to see and touch the trees in the fields and know better their growing process.
After that we will have a meal based on the traditional gastronomy of the region and then we wil transfer to San Mateu to have a guided visit. San Mateu is a town of arabic origin with a beaufiful antique centre that recollects the legacy of the Orden of the Montesa, the stays of the Pope Luna and the visits of Saint Vicente Ferrer.

The agri-food cooperative of Xert, funded en 1964, counts with 400 associates and is a pioneer in the packaging of olive oil from the millenary olive trees .
