Cooperativa Clot d’en Simó (Xert)
The agri-food cooperative Sant Marc de Xert founded in 1964 counts with 400 associates. It belongs to the major agri-food coooperative Clot d’en Simó, formed by 8 cooperatives from the county Baix Maestrat.
The Project that this agri-food cooperative is leading has the objective of taking care of the production of millenary olive oil and promote the routes and tours around these monumental trees.
The agri-food cooperative of Xert is a pioneer on packaging the millenary olive oil from its trees. The production is made only in one day following a strict quality control process in order to offer the best quality of its olive oil from variety Farga.
Tour
“Millenary Olive Trees from Xert”
With this tour we will discover the millenary culture of the olive trees from Xert in Alicante. We will visit the agri-food cooperative of Xert to learn more about the millenary olive trees which give one of the best olive oils. We will go to the fields to see the olive trees in first person and then we will enjoy a meal based on traditional gastronomy of the region. Afterwards we will transfer to San Mateu to have a guided cultural tour.

Xert and San Mateu are towns located North from the capital of the province, Castellon, in the county of Baix Maestrat. Sant Mateu is a monumental town declared an asset of Cultural Interest (BIC)
