Horchata Tour, Valencia
In this tour we will discover all the secrets about the cultivation of tigernuts in Valencia and the elaboration of horchata labelled as (DO) Designation of Origin Chufa of Valencia.
We will start the tour visiting one of the storage buildings or “cambras” where the tigernuts are stored in order to dry them after the recollection. We will learn all the processes that are followed by the farmers from the traditional cultivation until the drying, washing and selection of the tigernuts. Then, we will head to the fields to see the tigernuts in its real season and finally we will enjoy together a delicious meal based on the traditional valencian cuisine.

Alquería Sequer Lo Blanch is a family business born with the main aim of boosting the traditional cultivation procedures of Valencian tigernuts or chufas. It is located in the middle of the orchard of Valencia, in Alboraia.

Alboraia is internationally known thanks to its horchata and tigernuts or chufas. Alboraia is located 3 km from the city of Valencia, in the county Horta Nord also called “the orchard of Valencia”. Other tourist interests in the area are the nearby beaches of Port Saplaya and La Patacona.
