Horchata Tour and paella tasting in Valencia

In this tour we will have the chance to enjoy an approach to two of the most important products of the Valencian gastronomy: paella and horchata
We will visit an “alquería”, traditional countryside storage house, in the Orchard of Valencia, Alboraia, where we will learn all the secrets about the cultivation of tigernuts or chufas from Valencia. We will visit the two floors alquería where we will see the traditional utensils used by farmers and we will enjoy a photographic exhibition explaining the cultivation process of chufa and elaboration of horchata.

We will also walk around the fields to see the crops and vegetables growing at the moment. Later, we will enjoy the Valencian gastronomy by tasting different rice-based dishes and paella.

Company

Planta i Cull is an alquería, traditional farm house, located in the middle of the so called “Orchard of Valencia”. Surrounded by vegetables, rice and tigernut crops. The building counts with an exhibition of utensils and photographs showing the traditional procedures of horchata making in Valencia.

Destination

Alboraia is internationally known thanks to its horchata and tigernuts or chufas. Alboraia is located 3 km from the city of Valencia, in the county Horta Nord also called “the orchard of Valencia”. Other tourist interests in the area are the nearby beaches of Port Saplaya and La Patacona.
