Honey Tour. Ayora and Cofrentes (Valencia)
Our Honey Tour will start with a visit to the Agri-food cooperative: Sociedad Cooperativa Apícola de España in Ayora, Valencia. There we will learn about all the varieties and the elaboration processes of honey.
Also we will discover all the goods that can be gathered from the hive: honey, bees wax, propolis, brood, venom, pollen, royal jelly, etc. After visiting their facilities, we will be able to buy their bee-based products in their own shop.
We will move to the town of Cofrentes where we will enjoy a guided tour by the castle and the beautiful sights from their viewpoints. We will walk around nature by the Jucar River and the small volcan Cerro Agras, the only volcanic outcrop of the area (2km North of Cofrentes).
At the end of the tour we will enjoy together a traditional meal in Cofrentes.

Sociedad Cooperativa Apícola de España in Ayora, Valencia is one of the most important harvesting centers in Europe. Founded in the 80´s, nowadays counts with nearly 200 partners offering high quality honey of different varieties.

Ayora , is the capital of the county Valle de Ayora, in Valencia. It offers a wide variety of interesting sighseeing tours to enjoy its natural and rural landscapes.
Cofrentes is a town, located among mountains in between the Jucar and Cabriel rivers and offers many activities at the open air.
