Almond blossom Tour. Relleu and Villajoyosa (Alicante)

We will start the tour by visiting the Agri-food cooperative from Relleu where we will learn and see all the varieties of almonds produced in this area. We will taste some of them in order to distinguish their particularities and we will have the chance to participate in a turrón workshop. Turron is one of the main sweets handmade by artisans in the Valencia Region.
After the workshop we will do a nice walk towards the fields to enjoy how the almond trees are coming into full flower. We will be able to take spectacular pictures of this romantic landscape.
From the fields we will go to the town of Relleu and have a guided tour around the old city where we will admire the church and old buildings.
*As an option and depending on the time available it is recommended a cultural visit in the city of VILLAJOYOSA: the historic-artistic part of the old center, with its marine and comercial character that has determined its architecture.

The Agri-food cooperative from Relleu has been mainly dedicated to the production of almonds. Almonds are mainly dedicated to the elaboration of the traditional Christmas sweet from Spain: turrón.
