Relleu (Alicante)
Relleu with a population of 1.200 is located 40km from the city of Alicante. It is surrounded by mountains which give the tourists a rich amount of walking tours with beautiful views. The cultural heritage is also very interesting with the church of Santiago Apóstol built in the 16th C. the local museum, the traditional washing place and the popular castle of Relleu.
La Vila Joiosa is a city with a population of 34.000 and the capital of the county of “la Marina Baixa” in Costa Blanca. It is one of the traditional tourist attractions in the Valencia Region due to the beautiful streets and houses in the old-city. In the historic center, the church-fort of the Assumption, is part of the catalan gothic architecture. The house´s walls and the buildings in the neighbourhood offer a picturesque scenario full of colour.

The Agri-food cooperative from Relleu has been mainly dedicated to the production of almonds. Almonds are mainly dedicated to the elaboration of the traditional Christmas sweet from Spain: turrón.
