Persimmon kakis and the Land of wine Utiel-Requena (Valencia)
In this tour we will learn all the secrets about kakis, one of the most peculiar fruits grown in the Valencia Region. We will visit Finca Santa Elena which is a ranch or farm house in Ontinyent.
Once in the Ranch, we will get the chance to discover the processes of cultivation and care of this tropical fruit with Chinese origin and howcome it arrived to Valencia.
Then we will visit a field of kaki trees in order to understand its growing conditions and enjoy the beauty and variety of colours offered by these fruits.
Later we will have a guided tour around the area and finally we will enjoy together a delicious meal based on the traditional gastronomy of the region.
