Olive oil from Vilafamés, a Most Beautiful Town (Castellón)
We will start this tour visiting the agri-food cooperative “Cooperativa Oleica Peñagolosa” in Vilafamés, Castellón, to know better the production and peculiarities of olive oil in this region. We will enjoy a guided testing to discover the differences among the varieties of olive oils produced in the agri-food cooperative.
Later we will enjoy together a guided tour around the village of Vilafamés in order to explore one of the most picturesque towns in Spain. Its old town has been declared Heritage of Cultural Interest due to the beauty of its streets and buildings.
At the end of the tour we will enjoy together a meal based on the traditional gastronomy of the region.
Agri-food Cooperative
Oleicola Del Penyagolosa is an olive mill formed by different agri-food cooperatives: Cabanes, La Pobla Tornesa and Vilafamés, dedicated during years to the olive oil production.

Vilafamés has been declared “one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. The old town with a beautiful church and castle, is full of picturesque houses, streets and buildings and also declared Heritage of Cultural Interest.
