Cooperativa La Viña (La Font de la Figuera)
The winery La Viña founded in 1944 is located at the Valencian región called Terres dels Alforins. Currently counts with 1500 associates from different municipalities: La Font de la Figuera, Fontanars dels Alforins, Moixent, Villena, Ontinyent y Ayora.
La VIÑA is one of the leading wineries in the Region of Valencia. The production of wine is their main activity and actually they are exporting to more tan 30 countries. Some of the brands they are distributing are: Venta del Puerto, Icono and Casa L’Àngel.
The grapes produced by La Viña are: Chardonnay o Merlot, Tempranillo, Tintorera, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon y Monastrell. Nowadays La Viña is also offering activitires related to enotourism.
This winery earned several awards like: “Premis Turia” in 2009 and “Best Agri-food cooperative” awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture in 2004.

“Wines from Terres dels Alforins and the Warrior of Moixent”
Located in the “Terres dels Alforins”, the so called Valencian Tuscany, offers one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Valencia region. We will visit the wine cooperative and we will have the chance to taste the famous wines that are produced in this winery. Later we will have a guided tour around the Iberian settlement of La Bastida de Les Alcusses (4th century), which is where the Guerrero de Moixent (Warrior of Moixent),was found.

Moixent is a town situated at 80km South from the city of Valencia. Numerous cultures have populated Moixent throughout its history,but the most relevant archaeological remains are in the Iberian settlement of La Bastida de Les Alcusses , which is where the worldwide known Guerrero de Moixent (Warrior of Moixent) was found.
